The Jennings story has been strengthened by many who have helped pen it, and the theme of our story—our mission, our call to serve—remains steadfast. Jennings has a tangible financial impact in Northeast Ohio, through rate-restricted services and unreimbursed charitable care. Jennings ensures that dignity and quality care are available to everyone, including those whose limited means would otherwise offer them fewer choices. In 2014, Jennings provided over $2.6 million in unreimbursed care.
The spirit of Monsignor Jennings lives on in each and every one of our contributors. Please join us in supporting the older members of our community with a donation to Jennings. In the face of chronic illness and loss of physical or cognitive ability, 70% of those receiving long-term care at Jennings are unable to pay for their care. Our priority of providing quality health care and assisting older people to live to their highest potential requires substantial financial resources. Although government reimbursement through the Medicaid program provides some relief, it falls significantly short of covering the full cost of care and the dignity we believe each individual deserves.
