Do you think you are being called to a vocation as a consecrated religious? Our religious life is an intensive call to that perfect love of God and neighbor that was taught and lived by Jesus as the foremost of all commandments. It is therefore the primary concern of all of the sisters to grow in holiness daily under the impulse of the spirit in that same love of God.
Postulancy: Formal training in the community begins with Postulancy of six to ten months. This period provides a basic introduction to the religious life based on self-knowledge and a study of the fundamentals of prayer and theology.
Novitiate: The two year Novitiate program allows for a deepening of the spiritual life, a study of the history and the charism of the Community, and, during the second the second or Canonical year, an immediate preparation for vows. The life of a Novice is more structured than that of a Postulant.
Temporary Profession: The period of temporary Profession may extend from three to nine years. This time is devoted to a continuation of spiritual development as well as to the completion of formal or professional training for the apostolate.
Final Vows: At the end of temporary Profession a Sister is admitted to Final Vows. Although the period of initial formation ends with the final profession of vows, opportunity for on-going formation is given to the Sisters at all levels of Community life. This includes conferences, seminars, workshops and the annual retreat.
