Jennings celebrates Mardi Gras!

“Oh when the saints go marching in…” it must be Mardi Gras! We celebrated Fat Tuesday with paczki, hurricanes, beads and the sounds of New Orleans jazz. Our seasonal favorite, the Mike Petrone Band, had us singing and dancing in our seats to jazz and Mardi Gras favorites like “Minnie the Moocher,” “Just a Gigolo,” and “When the Saints Go Marching In.” Chef Michael picked up 28 dozen paczki – enough for everyone who loves these traditional favorites.

In sickness and in health, love endures

“In sickness and in health,” love endures. Jennings celebrated Valentine’s Day by honoring love stories. For couples at Jennings, their commitment and perseverance exemplify their original wedding vows. Together 38 couples celebrated nearly 1,600 years of marriage; one couple has been married 69 years!

Today couples renewed their wedding vows in a Mass, followed by a special dinner to celebrate their love. Jennings’ Executive Chef Michael Mills and his culinary services staff served the couples with an upscale style dinner, complete with filet mignon, twice-baked potatoes and assorted vegetables, in a romantic setting designed specially for this celebration.
